4-Hour Florida First-Time Driver Course (TLSAE)
The Florida First Time Driver Course, also known as the Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) Course or the Drug & Alcohol Course, is a state-required program for all first-time driver's license applicants under Florida Statute 322.095.
This course is mandated by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) and must be completed by individuals 18 years of age and older who have never held a driver's license in any U.S. state, U.S. territory, or foreign country.
Official Florida Class E Knowledge Exam (Online Permit Test)
Before taking this exam, new drivers must first take the 6-Hour Florida Driver Education & Traffic Safety (DETS), also known as the Drug, Alcohol & Traffic Education for Teens, the Drug & Alcohol course, START or DATA (mentioned above).
Note:** The Permit Exam can ONLY be taken online by drivers under the age of 18.
This is the Official Florida Learner's Permit Exam; it can be taken online quickly and easily by anyone age 14–17. The test is 60-minutes long with 50 questions. Once students achieve a passing score of 80%, they will be eligible for a Florida learner’s permit. Once students achieve a passing score of 80%, they will be eligible for a Florida learner’s permit and on their way to becoming a safe and responsible driver!

Permit Practice Test
The permit prep test helps students get familiar with the types of questions they’ll be asked and lets them practice answering them in under 60 minutes. Our practice exam will allow students to review their answers so they can learn from their mistakes. Students who complete our practice exams have a much higher chance of passing the real Florida Permit Exam on the first try! Their way to becoming a safe and responsible driver!
